Doula is defined as a woman who is trained to provide support to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the period of time following the birth. 
Your doula’s goal is to help you have an empowered, safe and satisfying childbirth experience.

~~Doula services provide a wide range of support and care for the childbearing woman and her family. ~~ 

   Basic doula services include 6 prenatal education visits with the expectant mother and her partner, spouse and any other support persons.  Phone and email informational support during your pregnancy and for two weeks after the birth to answer any questions you may have about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting.  Includes emotional and physical support during your labor and birth process.  
Cost $450

   Postpartum doula services include emotional and informational support after the birth of your child.  This service offers:
~ breastfeeding support in home or in hospital
~ infant care instruction (diapering, bathing etc)
~ light housekeeping
~ light meal preparation
~ infant minding while mama does self care (bath, nap, etc)
~ grocery shopping and errand running for mother
~  new mama may have an idea of how the doula can be helpful to her...
Cost $20/hour minimum two hours/day

~~A doula does not take the place of a spouse, partner or caregiver, a doula suppliments the care of the woman and her child.~~
